Mr. Healey is a Business Intermediary for Cimarron Equity Partners. Dynamic, self-driven and results-focused, Jerry is a professional leader with extensive business acquisition experience. A perceptive analyst, strategic thinker and problem solver, he distinguishes himself by creating synergy across an organization.
Jerry is responsible for business acquisitions and sales, and manages buyer representation in acquisitions, business valuations and private equity placements. He prepares and creates complex company profiles to market the sale of businesses, and offers appraisal services to determine the selling price. He advocates the purchase of businesses by establishing targets of acquisition and works with attorneys during closings.
Jerry earned a B. S. in business administration with an emphasis in marketing from Northeastern University. He then earned an M.S. in Management from the University of Denver with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship, Venture Management e-Commerce and Mentoring.
Early in his career, Healey worked for the Miami Herald and the Providence Journal as a manager in the Classified Advertising Department. In 1990, he purchased a newspaper in Colorado, returning 10 times the original investment in just seven years and grew the organization to include four papers.
He served as regional vice president of Colorado Community Newspapers. Jerry was responsible for the operation of 15 publications and 120 employees. Healey then became an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business.
Currently, Jerry owns Alpine Glass and Mirror in Avon, part of the Vail Valley. He led a turnaround of the organization through diversification, marketing, new technology and improved management strategy. With a 400-percent increase in sales and profits, 2008 became a record-breaking year for Alpine Glass.
During the last several years, Jerry has served as Chair of Mentoring, Workshops & Business Clinics for the Rocky Mountain Cleantech Open. The CTO is a business competition that seeks to catalyze clean technology start-ups through a rigorous selection process. He provides training and resources to 12 teams to help them develop creative, competitive business plans. Jerry also led the creation of four summer workshops and over 100 business clinics to assist the start-up business owners.
Mr. Healy is a visionary who leads by example with dedication and attention to detail. Jerry, his wife Ann and their children live in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
